Senior Financial Analyst

About the Role

Persona is expanding rapidly and looking for our first financial analyst to help build and scale our Finance function! This role is to play an integral part in all aspects of finance with opportunities to work on various projects as we scale. The ideal candidate will be someone who can roll up their sleeves to work on different areas of the annual planning, budgeting processes and help implement systems that can scale and improve upon processes. The Senior Financial Analyst will have strong decision-making skills, ability to be flexible as business needs change, and the capacity to get things done.

What you'll achieve

• Serve as a business partner to functional leaders during the short-and long-term financial planning process while also helping identify areas where they can be more efficient
• Work closely with business partners to drive "investment to outcome" mentality; Ensure all investments are measured against desired outcomes and course correct when needed
• Collaborate with product teams to understand underlying product margin drivers and ways to improve on them
• Develop financial models, track and analyze financial KPIs, uncover trends and assess business risks and opportunities to provide recommendations to senior leaders.
• Report and analyze monthly financial results and communicate important takeaways to senior stakeholders, including identifying business opportunities and risks.
• Check in quarterly with business partners to review progress against the financial plans and investigate if there are any variances
• Approve material spend to ensure that budgets are adhered to prior to spend with vendors
• Partner with the accounting team to create financial reporting that can be used in FP&A analysis
• Provide management with insights into drivers of revenue and expenses, as well as risks and opportunities
• Research, evaluate and lead the implementation of FP&A software(s)

What you'll bring to Persona

• 3+ years of related FP&A or Finance experience (High growth SaaS experience is a plus)
• BS/BA in Finance, Accounting and related fields preferred
• Strong Excel skills required
• SQL experience preferred
• System savvy, experience working with forecasting and reporting systems.
• Comfortable aggregating and manipulating large data sets from multiple systems to derive insightful analysis and create financial models
• Excellent problem solving, analytical, and systems skills
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated ability to roll up sleeves and work collaboratively with a team
• Ability to work independently and prioritize competing initiatives

Bonus points

• Experience with financial and ERP systems such as Adaptive Planning, Anaplan etc
• Previous finance experience in a high growth technology company
