As our Senior Finance Manager, you will ensure the smooth running of existing finance
- Functions including month-end close, statutory audits, and tax returns. At the same time, you
- Will be intricately involved in helping to foster growth in the team and in driving process
- Improvements which will support the business as it grows.
- We are looking for a passionate individual with a sharp eye for detail and the ability to
- Quickly assess and ideate improvements for existing processes. You will also ideally have
- Experience within the hardware, software, start-up, and/or technology sectors.

What you'll do:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting and the month-end process
- Support the acceleration of the monthly close
- Ensure existing controls are implemented and new ones are developed
- Ensure the timeliness and accuracy of entries into the ERP system and conduct
Regular reviews of completed work
- Reconcile key accounts and oversee the preparation of other reconciliations
- Maintain acute awareness of cash forecasting and treasury management
- Run payroll for the UK and US entities
- Ensure accurate EU and UK VAT accounting and prepare VAT returns
- Take responsibility for delivering the annual audit and statutory accounting process
- Take responsibility for ensuring GDPR compliance in relation to Finance
- Manage AP & AR processes and team members
- Assist the wider Finance Team with other finance tasks as needed
- Assist with the review process of the weekly payment run
- Improve system integration and automations, playing an active role in
Cross-functional
Partner with stakeholders across the business to collaborate on projects and
Accounting, including forecasting and budgeting
- Assist with US finances for Luminary subsidiary including corporation tax returns,
- Sales taxes, etc.
- Complete more complex month end tasks including subscription revenue and returns
Provision
What you'll need:
A professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) with experience in UK
Gaap / ifrs
- Experience producing (and/or auditing) statutory accounts for a company
- A track record of meeting challenging deadlines
- The ability to thrive in a fast-moving environment and to manage competing priorities
- Exceptional written and spoken English
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with team members at all
Levels
Bonus points:
- Experience or exposure to working with manufacturing companies
- Exposure to startup or high-growth companies
- Experience using NetSuite, or a similar ERP system
- Exposure and/or knowledge of US Accounting and Tax
- Royalty or subscription accounting experience
