About the role:

Reporting to the Director of Accounting, this person will serve an integral role in scaling our Finance and Accounting operations by managing essential Accounting responsibilities. This role requires an individual who has the ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, dynamic and fast-paced environment. You are versatile, analytical, detail oriented and a great communicator. The ideal candidate is someone who has experience taking ownership of day-to-day responsibilities, and is excited to make a meaningful impact by ensuring systems & processes are optimized to help Medallion scale over the next several years.

Compensation for this role is between $80,000 - $115,000 base salary depending on location and level.

Responsibilities:

  • Own key accounting processes, including but not limited to AR, AP and spend management.
  • Take a lead role in month-end processes through the completion of recurring tasks and journal entries, reconciliations and other duties as necessary.
  • Develop and optimize accounting policies and procedures for key accounting initiatives and processes.
  • Assist in selecting and onboarding Finance and Accounting tools to assist in automating and streamlining key Accounting processes.
  • Partner with Sales, RevOps and Customer Success teams to drive improvements in key processes around the Order to Cash process.
  • Lead or assist on ad-hoc Accounting and Finance projects, as needed (e.g. tax compliance, audits)

Skills and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, with proven knowledge of US GAAP.
  • Strong project management skills encompassing attention to detail and the ability to deliver results across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills - with the ability to communicate complex concepts and information to multiple audiences.
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience implementing or optimizing modern accounting software solutions.
  • Desire to work in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in some combination of venture-backed startups and public accounting firms
  • Degree in Finance or Accounting; and CPA or CMA certification
