Senior Accountant

This role will be the conduit between the suppliers and clients and our internal teams. The Accountant will be responsible for the general accounting function specifically AR and AP transactions, and maintaining account accuracy. This role will also assist with monthly closings, account analysis and supporting the team in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance department. This role will be Accountant/ Senior Accountant depending on the candidate's experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable
• Schedule and prepare disbursements, pay invoices
• Create timely billing to clients including any follow-up transactions and special requests
• Follow up with clients on all outstanding invoices
• Manage and monitor all related documentation for AP and AR
• Assist with monthly closings and preparation of monthly financial statements
• Prepare analysis of accounts as requested
• Assist with year-end closings
• Conduct frequent cash application and banking reconciliations
• Monitor and resolve bank issues including identification of receipts
• Assist with preparation and coordination of the audit process
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, CPA a plus
• Knowledge of GAAP, Financial principles and reporting
• Experience in general accounting, AP and AR
• Proficiency in Excel and other MS Office products
• Proficiency in salesforce.com/CRM and Intacct/similar ERP systems
