To further this important mission, we are seeking a seasoned GTM Finance & Strategy leader to serve as our Sales Compensation Finance lead. In this role you will own the administration of our sales compensation program, including such things as commissions calculations, quota attainment, finance SOX controls, and more. This is a critical role helping to enable Stripe's success to effectively grow and scale with the business.

You will:

  • Partner cross-functionally with Revenue Operations, Sales, Accounting, and other stakeholders in the management of sales compensation
  • Responsible for day-to-day administration of the sales compensation program, including quota attainment and commissions calculations
  • Develop and scale business processes to support growing transaction volume while maintaining internal controls to ensure SOX compliance
  • Lead requirements gathering and input from a finance perspective for new sales compensation tool implementation
  • Provide ongoing support to comp plan participants and handle sales escalations on concerns related to attainment and commissions
  • Partner with Revenue Operations to drive sales compensation strategy and comp plan design by delivering analysis on quota and earning attainment trends
  • Participate in the annual planning cycle to implement and rollout the new plans

We're looking for someone who has:

  • 8+ years of experience supporting sales compensation strategy and/or administration preferably at a high growth, enterprise software, SaaS, or fintech focused business
  • Deep analytical rigor, focused on bringing clarity based on deep insights
  • Ability to problem solve and think creatively, while understanding risk and trade-offs of business decisions
  • Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with business partners and executives; you are seen as a trusted and objective advisor
  • An enthusiastic "roll up your sleeves" mentality
  • The ability to be a self-starter capable of driving business results
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
