About The Role

We are looking for a dynamic, results driven individual to join as an Accounting Product Lead to support our new product launches. Reporting to the Product Controller, this role will work closely with our global expansion, legal & compliance, treasury, business development, tax, payment operations and analytics, product and research and development teams to assess the financial implications of new products, perform the project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and user acceptance testing to operationalize the accounting and reporting processes.The Accounting team is responsible for accurate financial reporting and compliance with financial policies and regulations. Our team is spread across the USA and India.Our diverse team consists of over 20 professionals spread across the United States and India, with more international locations coming soon.Over the last couple years, our team has grown exponentially to support a complex, multi-product company that operates globally.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the Accounting point of contact for the Product Team to understand and develop financial processes for our new product roadmap.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver world class solutions that are scalable, controlled, and flexible
  • Determine the accounting framework for new products, including revenue recognition, fund flows, payroll and disclosure requirements.
  • Partner with our systems teams to build the automated processes for our products. Test and validate system builds.
  • Establish documented controls to maintain the integrity of financial reporting and maintain a strong internal control environment in relation to international subsidiaries and global products
  • Monthly review of financials, including period over period variance analysis. Primarily, own review of disaggregated revenue flux for global products and overall financial statements flux analysis for international subsidiaries.
  • Coordinate with external auditors to support audit procedures
  • Own month-end period close process for international subsidiaries
  • Work to develop, support, and improve the systems, policies, and procedures necessary to drive efficiency and provide meaningful financial data.
What You Will Need
  • Certified Public Accountant or Qualified Chartered Accountant
  • A minimum of 8 years progressively responsible accounting and finance experience with a minimum of 3 years in an Accounting product/program role
  • Proven experience in project management, accounting requirements documentation, process design, and testing
  • Ability to present complex ideas in a clear, concise fashion to both technical and non-technical partner
  • Exceptional people manager skills, open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to getting the job done
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Solid knowledge of GAAP revenue recognition requirements
  • Experience with Netsuite ERP and business systems data warehouse infrastructure (preferred)
  • Ability to work in a dynamic accounting department, successfully juggling multiple entities, projects and deliverables
  • Strong managerial, planning, organizational, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills
