As a leader in the finance organization, you'll play a key role in building our procure to pay processes and scaling our operations. This role will play an important part in supporting Gong's business growth.

The desired candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance or other related field. He or she should have demonstrated the ability to rationally identify issues and research and implement corrective actions. In addition, the desired candidate should understand the procure-to-pay process and work cross-functionally to support the Company's growth as treasury and procurement functions are developed.

This position is responsible for managing timely processing of payables transactions, including credit card transactions and employee expense reimbursements, monthly closing of related account balances, and the reconciliation of month end reports. This position is also responsible for maintaining internal controls for the Accounts Payable Department by applying recognized accounting procedures, tax compliance, state and federal laws and industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a mentor and support continuous professional development of the bookkeepers who are primarily responsible for processing AP; manage the team by recruiting, developing, setting priorities and providing clear direction as needed
  • Own the bi-weekly payment cycle and monthly close cycle related to Accounts Payable, Employee Reimbursement and Credit Card Payables
  • Manage/ Serve as the Admin for Expensify, our Employee Expense Reimbursement application
  • Manage/ Serve as the Admin for our virtual credit card platform
  • Review invoice coding and payment batches for completeness and accuracy with corporate policies and compliance with accounting standards
  • Work closely with Purchasing to implement a procure to invoice automated solution to enable greater efficiencies and accuracy around the coding of purchases (department and account coding)
  • Participate in month- and quarter-end close activities, including (but not limited to) preparation of Accounts Payable journal entries, account reconciliations and auditor-required PBC items
  • Recommend, develop and implement new processes to continually improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the department
  • Work with International Controllers, IT and People Operations to develop consistent policies re: Employee Reimbursement processes as Global Mobility programs expand and new systems are rolled out
  • Take the lead with Purchasing on behalf of the GL team to understand Travel & Employee Expense Reimbursement Policies and integrate into payables processes
  • Ensure SOX compliance by adhering to internal control requirements, maintaining updated documentation for Accounts Payable related processes and providing recommendations as appropriate
  • Work with International Controllers and the GL teams to build consistent processes abroad
  • Other projects and responsibilities, as needed

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years in a manager level position at a fast paced public company required
  • Minimum of 8 years corporate accounting experience required within a corporate payables or other related accounting function
  • Expert knowledge of related tax rules and regulations in Israel, the US and abroad
  • Knowledge of Netsuite and Expensify a strong plus
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal; excellent customer service and problem solving skills
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field required
