Head of Finance

About your role

As our first dedicated finance hire, you will be responsible for bringing our finance function in-house and laying the foundation for our next phase of growth. In addition to the traditional functions of Finance in a startup, you will be in charge of managing our payment terms solutions across Europe (we provide 30 or 60 Days payment terms to our retailers on our platform)

• Own month-, quarter-, and year-end close process & provide timely, accurate, and comprehensive financial reporting
• Design, implement, and manage policies and procedures with respect to revenue recognition and cash reconciliation
• Manage relationships with auditors, banks & administrations
• Implement the right tools for a start up like us & automate processes as much as you can
• Manage cash & work on non dilutive financing
• Manage equity & legal corporate matters
• Own the relationship with our payment & financing partners; build and maintain a best-in-class payment term solutions across Europe
• Build a team as we grow

Preferred experience

The experience we require:

• Minimum of 7-8 years in finance roles
• A strong financial background with direct accounting experience
• Experience building and owning pieces of a finance function at an early stage company.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and desire to build innovative financial services

Other qualities that would add value:

• Experience in managing payment term operations (credit scoring, recollection..)
• Experience in B2B and/ or retail
