If you own a flat in a building, you may have heard about "the Syndic". In France, you have to choose between 2 models: the Professional Syndicate or the Cooperative one.

Founded in 2017, Matera is a fast-growing start-up (SaaS solution) that proposes a complete tool to enable the Cooperative Syndicate to be completely autonomous to manage the day-to-day life of the building.

The goal is to promote a user-friendly and cheaper solution, to automate tasks; But also to help on complex matters, thanks to our in-house experts who take over: lawyers, accountants, building experts, etc.

Matera has already attracted more than 5,000 co-buildings in France and has ambitions to deploy the solution in other European markets!

About your team

The Finance Team is looking for its next talent!

Closely working with Anthony (Head of Finance), you will have the opportunity to work on different scopes (from operational tasks to performance review and analysis) and projects. Your role will be to help Matera make the right decisions to ensure our growth.

Your missions

  • Provide continuous, actionable analysis
  • Contribute to the preparation of weekly/monthly reportings including company financials and investors reports;
  • Continuously improve analysis by adopting a data-driven approach.
  • Reinforce financial process
  • Control the quality and reliability of reported data to ensure a solid basis for decision and understanding of our business;
  • Contribute to the implementation of new processes and/or tools to streamline and improve our financial process;
  • Support decision-making
  • Participate in financial business planning in collaboration with the rest of the Finance team and review variances vs. targets;
  • Liaise with other departments to contribute to the rolling forecasts, budget and long term business plan;
  • Draw conclusions based on your analytical work and share clear recommendations to the Finance team and external stakeholders.

Job requirements

  • Ideally,
  • You have Master's Degree in Finance (or equivalent) and 2 years of prior relevant experience, in FP&A or in a top tier financial advisory firm and/or financial controlling
  • You are a true teamplayer and hands on person that is not afraid to get the job done rolling up your sleeves
  • You are at ease with financials (P&L, Balance sheet and cashflow) and accounting;
  • You are rigorous and have excellent analytical and modeling skills (VBA/SQL is a plus)
  • You are fluent both in English and French, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
