About the role

We are looking for an independent and result-oriented Finance Manager to sit within the Finance team with a focus on accounting, control processes and cash management. You will be part of the Finance team in Australia, where we need someone with vision and ideas who will tackle any problem, as well as the ability to roll your sleeves up and get involved.

What you'll be doing

• As a key member of the Australia Finance team, assuming responsibility and assisting in the month-end activities and preparation of management accounts of the multi-entity group
• Management accounting, financial reporting and providing commercial and operational management information to support rapid global expansion
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
• Assist in tax and regulatory reporting requirements of multiple local entities
• Assist in preparing year-end-accounts and statutory accounts. Ensure compliance with Australian AASB and IFRS accounting standards
• Ensure a timely and effective audit process for Australian entities, including liaising with external auditors and providing responses to queries
• Alignment of financial data for the region from various finance ERP systems, including roll out, harmonizing business processes and providing visibility of operations across the local entities
• Assist in building a highly scalable and efficient accounting and finance function

What you'll need

• Qualified Accountant (CPA, CA, ACCA or equivalent), preferably with experience from big 4
• Minimum 4 years post-qualification industry experience (financial industry) in finance & accounting functions, preferably with experience within an international company within cross-functional and multi-national teams
• Strong accounting principle knowledge
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to unravel complex accounting queries
• Positive attitude: 'Can do' approach and willing to give everything a go
• Excellent organisation skills, ability to plan and organise work so that it is efficient and effective
• Ability to comprehend and narrate financial records for external stakeholders
• Strong punctuality and time management skills
• Experience in SQL preferable
• Knowledge of Australian tax preferable
• Experience in NetSuite preferable
• Excellent documentation and spreadsheet skills
