OVERVIEW

The Real Estate Manager partners internally and externally to procure Instacart's retail sites, negotiates leases and monitors leases to effectively manage and maintain Instacart's business operations. This role reports to the Senior Real Estate Manager.

ABOUT THE JOB

• Manages individual site selection processes and coordination with local brokers and field leaders
• Develops strategies for individual lease negotiations
• Evaluates potential landlords
• Experience on large rollouts and expansion projects
• Strong leadership experience with the ability to motivate and drive teams to meet aggressive goals as well as assist into growing the team
• Maintains and interprets local market data
• Travel to potential future territories to meet local brokers and look at multiple properties.
• Conducts lease negotiations and oversees lease document preparation
• Maintains relationships with landlords
• Collaborates with field finance and field leadership to assist with facilities related issues
• Collaborates with construction teams to ensure on-time delivery of new locations that meet required standards, and manages on going facilities and construction projects
• Excellent research skills
• Strong communication and writing skills
• Create property decision making presentations
• Very organized and able to meet deadlines

ABOUT YOU

• At least 4+ years Commercial Real Estate experience as a tenant representative or corporate real estate team member, with retail and/or warehouse leasing focus
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent real estate experience
• Ability to travel as necessary (up to 50%)
