Staff Security Engineer

Then we launched a simple, modern API to make our payment and card issuing infrastructure available to other startups, fintechs, and brands. Today, that infrastructure is known as Lithic, and it powers billions of dollars in payments for some of the most innovative companies in the world.

Lithic is a remote-first company and has a distributed team with an office in New York. That means that if you want to work remotely, you can! We've raised $100M+ from top-tier investors including Index, Bessemer, Stripes, and Tusk Venture Partners, with a recent Series C that will help us scale.

Lithic is hiring a Senior Security Engineer to keep payments safe for everyone. This engineer would combine their knowledge in security and software to professionalize our security practices. In this role, you would be the first engineer to build the information security org, and help establish policies. We encourage you to apply even if you don't meet every requirement listed below!

Job responsibilities:

• Champion security best practices across the engineering team
• Develop an Information Security practice
• Help secure our hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Incident detection & management
• Carry out security assessments of our products & internal tooling
• Build internal tooling of your own
• Manage our bug bounty program

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated experience in software development
• Experience in cloud architecture & infrastructure
• Experience coding in Java, Python, C++, Rust or Go
• An ability to communicate ideas clearly to developers & partner with them to bring them to fruition
• Experience working with data processing pipelines is a plus
• Work experience in a regulated industry Is a plus
