Sonos is looking for a Senior Collaboration Engineer to join our Productivity and Collaboration Technology team. The Productivity and Collaboration Technology team empowers Sonos to thrive in a highly collaborative and productive work from anywhere environment.

In this position you will partner with business users and other IT teams to support and expand the use of Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, etc.) capabilities within the enterprise. You will also improve, maintain, and socialize the Google Workspace documentation and governance standards.

What You'll Do

  • Administer, manage and maintain the Google Workspace platform
  • Take ownership of the overall Google Workspace account management process integrated with Okta
  • Develop new system processes and improve existing ones for efficient Google Workspace license, user account, and group lifecycle management
  • Regularly meet with our Google CSM to evaluate and recommend new Google Workspace features/enhancements
  • Identify new and innovative ways to use existing or new tool sets to automate management, monitoring and related processes to increase efficiency
  • Perform scripting administration tasks and reporting using PowerShell or other scripting technology, developing scripts for automating processes
  • Partner with IT Security to enforce cross platform security and audit controls
  • Administer and manage the publishing and revocation of API controls, apps and extensions
  • Oversee email and data retention activities to comply with legal retention policies
  • Conduct compliance exports and searches as needed under strict confidence with the legal and security teams
  • Collaborate with other technical and functional teams to document and support business processes and operating procedures
  • Review documentation periodically for currency and relevance
  • Lead and carry out the integration of email and collaboration systems during acquisitions
  • Periodically analyze tickets from our IT support team to identify gaps, document and train technical support staff globally
  • Act as the primary point of contact for escalated incidents, perform business impact assessments, coordinate and carry out suitable resolutions including escalating to Google support when necessary
  • Create and actively contribute to RCA reports for management as required

What You'll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years related experience in managing email and messaging systems
  • Strong expertise in email, email infrastructure, mail transfer protocols, mail access protocols, SMTP relay, email security, spam, phishing and virus protection
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to collaborate in a team environment
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
  • Ability to apply new technologies, concepts, & functionality to solve problems and implement solutions
  • Comprehension of relationship between company policies, business & technical processes and procedures
  • Ability to create design documents, system operating procedures & FAQs
  • A self-starter with good time management skills, able to manage multiple activities simultaneously while requiring little oversight and/or direction.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline or equivalent education and experience
  • 3+ years of configuration and administration experience in Google Workspace with 1,000+ users
  • 3+ years of configuration and administration experience in Microsoft Office 365 with 1,000+ users
  • Setup, administration, and ongoing vendor management of SAAS based solutions
  • Sendgrid and Amazon SES administration experience
  • Working knowledge of web applications - SDLC, Cloud based web application development concepts and principles, SAAS integration for an enterprise, web content management
