Title: Server Engineer

Duration: Long term contract

Location: Remote - Hybrid (Dallas,TX)

Technical Skillsets

Must Haves:

?Sound knowledge on Azure infrastructure and basic database knowledge
?Good understanding of on premises infrastructure (CISCO UCS) with VMware and data center operations
?Server Patching Experience, & coordinating with Web Services teams -
?At least 4+ years of experience in Windows (Server versions) and Linux (SuSE and Ubuntu) Servers, Active Directory, Power Shell, Group Policy Objects and SCCM
?Hands on experience on Networking (CISCO Meraki and CISCO Fabric Inter-connect) with knowledge on routing (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP) and switching (LAN, vLAN, LACP.. )

Preferred:

?SCCM Client installation and remediation / Patch synchronization / Patch package creation
?Should have handled server / service configuration backup / restoration.
?Should have handled Web server administration, config changes, monitoring, restarts
?Must have experience maintaining, managing, and monitoring server infrastructure - SCOM exposure preferred.
?Hands-on with SCCM Administration, deployment, packaging, network inventory, boundaries, installer, and network designing would be preferred.
?Perform supporting tasks such as system hardening, high availability configurations, and developing backup strategies
?Knowledge on IaC (Terraform), Ansible and Git would be added advantage.

Process Knowledge

?Must understand ticketing environment with basic understanding of various timelines as: "Time to Respond", "Time to Resolve"
?Prior experience in Sev1 and Sev2 incident management and technical experience in managing Sev1 incidents end to end
?Understanding of knowledge base and its importance and documenting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) - technical or procedural
?Track version updates, config changes, service reboots, etc..., through Change Requests.
