The Reddit IT team is hiring an extraordinary Endpoint Engineer who is passionate about planning, building and maintaining the infrastructure and tools used to manage our global fleet of macOS, Chrome OS, Linux, and Windows endpoints. We're looking for someone that is excited about building a scalable platform that leverages the best combination of off the shelf and open source management tools.

You ensure the stability and security of the global endpoint fleet, while keeping up on advancements and changes in hardware, operating systems, and tooling. You love to solve problems at scale, promoting a consistent and seamless experience for our end users and support teams. You are passionate about providing the best customer service experience possible, while mentoring junior members of our global team.

• You are well versed in using tools such as Jamf Pro, Workspace One, and Google Workspace

Responsibilities?':

• Design, build, document, and support endpoint deployment and management infrastructure
• Manage, administer, and scale our endpoint fleet related tooling, through expansion existing products or through the deployment of new open-source software
• Support and manage Apple, Windows, and Chrome OS operating systems and software
• Define and manage a full cycle patch and software distribution framework
• Administer client configuration and security standard implementation across all endpoints
• Identify and deploy internal process and automation improvements
• Work as an escalation point for the global IT support operations team
• Help to grow and mentor the global IT team.
• Independently own and drive multiple IT projects and deliverables for the team
• Participate in evaluating, recruiting, hiring, and developing team members

Qualifications:

• 7+ years in an IT Engineering or IT Support role in an enterprise environment
• 5+ years experience working with endpoint management in large device environments with open source tools or enterprise MDM systems
• 300 or 400 level JAMF certification is a plus
• Expert level macOS administration fundamentals, including MDM protocol, configuration profile management, system extensions, installer and package creation, built in security tooling
• Windows administration expertise, with Active Directory Management and configuration a plus
• Comfortable scripting in at least one language (e.g. Shell scripting (bash), Python, Swift, Ruby)
• Networking fundamentals and support (VPN, DNS, Routing, VLANs)
• Experience with Information Technology and Security best practices
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and customer service
• Experience communicating with vendors to manage expectations and relationships
• Ability to plan, drive, and support multiple, concurrent projects and initiatives
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation that includes after hours and weekend support
