Senior DevOps Engineer

Force Therapeutics is reimagining the way patients recover from injury and surgery. We partner with leading health systems across the United States to deliver prescriptive plans of care to their patients, measure multiple clinical data points and provide actionable insights into care and recovery. We are hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. Our ideal Senior DevOps Engineer has experience architecting applications on AWS using Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment practices. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you'll work with production workloads and you will help scale and improve our infrastructure. You will work closely with our developers to come up with solutions for new product requirements. You'll create tooling to make our developers more productive and ensure the availability and performance of our applications.

Responsibilities:

• Improve and maintain our production and pre-production environments on AWS
• Improve and maintain our tools and processes for CI/CD automation, IaC, Disaster Recovery and Security
• Improve and maintain our alerting infrastructure to monitor overall site performance and health, including being on call for site issues and providing support
• Participating as a member of our Platform team using agile development in sprints, standups and retros
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and SOC2 and applicable accessibility standards

Requirements:

• BA/BS in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent certifications or practical experience
• 5+ years of professional experience in a DevOps or related role
• Strong architectural, design and development skills and ability to produce highly scalable, available and performant systems
• Experience with AWS: ECS/Fargate, RDS, ECR, Elasticache, IAM, KMS
• Experience using IaC: CloudFormation, Ansible
• Experience with containerization: Docker
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins or similar
• Experience with monitoring tools: CloudWatch, New Relic, Sumologic or similar
• Experience working with version control: Git
• Experience working on agile software engineering teams
• Motivated, self-directed, and proactive to identify areas for improvement
• Multitasker who is able to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Team player with strong communication skills

Nice to have:

• Prior experience in healthcare and life sciences
• Experience with IaC: CDK or Terraform
• Experience with ETL and data lake: AWS Glue, AWS Athena
