Security Application Specialist

We're looking for a security application professional to join our growing team! We are seeking a security minded candidate who is ambitious, has a strong desire to continuously learn, and an interest in cryptocurrency! As a member of our Information Security and Information Technology team, you will work with developers, new product development teams, and SecOps teams. You'll have the opportunity to drive oversight of first line development initiatives to ensure the security and compliance of the company's supply chain. Also, you will receive hands-on training and experience that could translate into future career opportunities!

Responsibilities:

• Perform second line information security oversight over operational and development teams
• Develop and implement governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) frameworks, processes and procedures
• Audit code to ensure the adherence to secure defined BitPay procedures and practices
• Perform vulnerability assessment on BitPay code, modules, or open source libraries
• Review Bug Bounty submissions for potential findings in BitPay vulnerabilities
• Support the development of data warehousing initiatives
• Develop API integration components to support collection of security events
• Perform periodic risk assessments and
• Build key risk indicator dashboard reporting
• Evaluate new product releases and proposals

Requirements:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Development and SQL database experience
• An interest in security concepts, assessments, oversight
• Excellent analytical, problem solving and time management skills
• Self-starter mentality, results oriented mindset, strong attention to detail, and ability to respond and adapt well in a fast-moving environment
• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience

Preferred:

• Development experience on one or more of the following: Javascript, Python, Node.js, Angular, React, Vue, and MongoDB
• Knowledge of Git, Github
• Threat Modeling, Web Security Vulnerabilities
• SAST, DAST, Pentesting
