Director, Security Operations

Fast is looking for a Director of Security Operations, who will manage our Detection & Monitoring, Analysis & Response functions. For this role we're looking for someone who has experience building a mature security operations program for a company which would be servicing customers globally.

Role

Security Operations Strategy - Develop and implement a long term roadmap for cybersecurity operations at Fast and provide strategic leadership on the direction of our cybersecurity operations capability, technical leadership to the teams involved, and business leadership during major security incidents and issues. Brief our executive leadership on emerging security threats and develop proposals on how to address these threats through building security controls and processes.

Detection & Monitoring - Develop capabilities to collects and stores logs, detects intrusions, identifies potential areas of security improvement or vulnerabilities, and engages in threat hunting across our enterprise and product

Incident Response - Develop an Incident Response Plan and accompanying runbooks. Execute on incident response tasks on as needed basis in coordination with requisite stakeholders including the privacy team. Ensure cyber security incident response plans and activities are following applicable laws, statutes, and compliance requirements. Get to the root of an actively evolving problem and mobilize the right people within the company to tackle it.

Problem Management - Perform root cause analysis to identify underlying problems and drive continuous improvement in incident processes and identify/share best practices across the incident response community.

Incident Response Testing - Execute tabletop exercises across diverse business areas and geographies to ensure operational readiness

Threat Intelligence - Collect and analyze threat intelligence to prepare Fast against emerging threats and to optimally respond to security incidents

Security Operations Governance - Provide status, results, and summaries of security incidents to executive leaders. Communicate the business value of the security operations and incident response program to executive stakeholders

Partner Engagement - Engage with partners in the industry, law enforcement, and threat intelligence vendors; and share and exchange standard methodologies with our customers and the SaaS industry

Security Operations People Management - Develop, encourage, and coach a wide range of personnel with diverse technical skills and experiences. Develop a world class security monitoring and threat detection/response team with focus on innovation and automation.

Requirements

• 10 plus years' experience in the field of Information Security with at least 3 years of experience in incident management experience
• Deep domain expertise in at least two of the following: intrusion detection and security monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence and analysis, enterprise and corporate security
• Experience securing cloud based infrastructures; AWS experience a plus.
• Experience with red teaming and offensive security roles preferred.
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge in the following: Network security infrastructure controls including next generation firewalls, proxies, advanced malware controls, IDS / IPS and DLP, CASB, Cloud Proxy, DLP, MFA, cloud automation and management tools
