Director, IT

Figma is hiring a Director of IT role. You'll be a key partner in the evolution of Figma's information technology systems and how employees engage with them. Working closely with cross-functional partners throughout the business, you will design Figma's in-person and virtual experiences as it relates to developing the vision, strategy and roadmap for the rapidly growing IT team. You take a creative and optimistic approach to the multitude of challenges a growing company faces and generally think "why not?" instead of just "why?"

This is a full time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the continental United States.

What you'll do at Figma:

• Building and guiding a successful IT practice and providing opportunities for team members to grow and prosper in providing great services and support services.
• Translating business requirements, design and drive the execution plan for successfully delivering high quality output on time for various business driven initiatives. You will be responsible for helping the team sequence, prioritize, and contribute to plan the portfolio of IT initiatives.
• Collaborating with partners across engineering, information security and the rest of the company to effectively align against goals, roadmap, and commitments.
• Develop and implement business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
• Establishing efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
• Analyzing IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs,

• Experience as IT director or similar role in a high growth environment. You can analyze, implement and evaluate IT systems, their specification and improve existing processes.
• Outstanding communication skills - how fast can you explain something complicated to a confused colleague?
• A customer service oriented approach that loves working with others and willing to go the extra mile to help Figmates
• Excellent prioritization skill-you can distinguish between the important and urgent, and know-how to appropriately tackle each challenge
