Our Growth team is looking for an experienced and passionate growth designer located in Dublin who wants to help us with our mission of motivating the world to be more active. We are a subscription-based, consumer-facing business, so this role requires empathy with Strava's community of athletes to fuel their long-term happiness as well as our long-term business impact. You're excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Develop hypotheses and execute experiments that both improve our subscription business and improve our customers' experience.
  • Identify and design impactful product improvements.
  • Have direct and easily attributable impact on our business.
  • Work closely with Product Marketers to build new ways for Strava to connect with our athletes inside the app experience.
  • Use basic research techniques, competitive analysis and data to inform strategic and tactical design decisions.
  • Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually strive to improve quality and craftsmanship.
  • Help drive alignment of different cross functional partner and stakeholder perspectives towards a single direction.

You will be successful here by:

  • Embracing an inclusive, collaborative environment that elevates a diverse set of voices and experiences.
  • Applying a systems thinking approach to problem solving.
  • Clearly and simply articulating your design decisions.
  • Connecting your design decisions back to team goals and objectives.
  • Participating in lightweight qualitative research and quantitative analysis.
  • Taking on a 'balanced portfolio' of projects, with quicker wins alongside bigger bets.
  • Producing detailed specs for your interaction models and UI and collaborate with engineers to communicate your thinking.
  • Having an adaptable design process based on scope.
  • Leveraging existing patterns and components when possible, and helping create new when necessary.

We're excited about you because:

  • You have 4+ years relevant experience in design of digital (mobile and desktop) products that have been released to market, 2 of which have been on a growth team or focused on growth design.
  • You have experience working in an Agile software organization, in cross-functional teams / pods / vertical teams.
  • You validate your ideas with prototypes and user feedback.
  • You're driven and excited by seeing the business impact of your design work.
  • You have a passion for testing ideas and learning from them.
  • You're obsessed with optimization.
