Senior Product Designer, Activities

Our Activities product team is looking for a highly motivated senior product designer to join our product team. The Activities team's charter is to power athletic growth by making data understandable and impactful to our athletes. The team focuses on building a holistic view of effort and fitness, and highlighting ways to make progress sustainable.

In this position, you will be responsible for the design strategy and delivery for all athlete activities on Strava. You're excited about this opportunity because you will:

• Represent design as a cross-functional leader on the Activities product team.
• Drive the design strategy for the Activities team, balancing multiple inputs including existing features, research insights, quantitative data, business opportunities and your top-notch product sense.
• Facilitate collaborative, creative activities with your cross functional product team.
• Craft best-in-class app experiences within Activities team's domain, from high level flow diagrams to hi-fi prototypes with microinteractions.
• Foster and demonstrate inclusive design within the activities team and on the wider design team
• Champion visual and experiential quality in our product and on our product team

You will be successful here by:

• Mentoring a designer on your team as well as other designers on the wider design team
• Presenting and communicating design decisions at multiple levels, from your teammates to company leadership
• Using data, research insights and instinct to drive design decisions

We're excited about you because:

• You have 7+ years of experience designing and shipping software experiences at a tech company or agency
• You're genuinely curious and interested in helping people understand how their athletic effort adds up
• You have excellent visual + interaction design skills
• You're able to scope and sequence design work for yourself and others
• You have experience designing for complex problem spaces with multiple concurrent user needs
• You have experience mentoring and/or coaching designers
• You have experience designing, driving and communicating strategy
• You have experience designing data visualization
• You are an expert in stakeholder management and communicating complex ideas simply
