The role:

As a Brand Designer at Humu, you'll be our first brand-focused hire within our small internal studio — a multidisciplinary group with an emphasis on product, but with a healthy interest in marketing, brand, video, illustration and even crafting our physical spaces. You'll work closely with our design and marketing teams to help evolve our brand, shape our visual identity, and elevate our craft in execution.

What you'll do:

  • Work with our team to evolve the Humu brand story and how we present ourselves in the marketplace to better align with our mission, core value proposition, and our enterprise audience
  • Produce assets and materials to help our marketing and sales teams tell our story across all channels (web, video, ads, e-books, whitepapers, presentations, etc.)
  • Define and document best practices for visual communication at Humu
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to infuse our brand into Humu's science, our storytelling and our product.
  • Give and receive thoughtful feedback that helps improve our work, both to fellow designers and while collaborating across roles

About you:

  • 6 - 99 years of experience which could include creative direction, brand design, marketing design and/or visual design for digital products
  • A portfolio that shows your ability to develop, evolve and execute on brand identity and visual language — ideally in a startup environment, or for early-stage clients
  • Experience working closely with marketing teams, and across various marketing channels
  • You measure the success of your work, and know how to create designs that support marketing goals
  • Experience collaborating with agency partners, freelancers and vendors to amplify your reach and skill set
  • A strong understanding of the "why" behind the work, and how to build cohesiveness and recognition within a system
  • Experience moving quickly — establishing timelines and delivering high-quality work on schedule
  • Passion and process for developing new design solutions to challenge industry standards and "the way things have always been done"
  • Bonus: animating UI for marketing materials, building marketing sites with Webflow
