Manager, UX Content Strategy

UX Content Strategy at Squarespace is embedded within product teams amongst designers, product managers, engineers and researchers. Our product teams are deeply collaborative, and each member has wide responsibilities and freedom to act.

The UX Content Strategy team is looking for a Manager to lead a team of Content Strategists who are creating engaging content for Squarespace's Growth and Platform teams. You know how to capture the essence of our products, align it with our product vision, and lead teams to create powerful experiences that improve our products. This role reports to the Senior Manager, UX Content Strategy. We are open to this role being remote.

Responsibilities

• Lead content strategists by developing clear goals, managing workloads, and ensuring their overall happiness
• Recruit new content strategists and participate in the hiring process
• Advocate for language in product design, collaborate on project briefs and scoping, iteratively improve and refine our style and standards guides
• Work with content strategists and other teams to ensure the best, most relevant processes and practices are employed and evolved
• Create rational, articulable, elegant solutions to complex problems
• Work with designers, product management, engineering and research
• Understand the capabilities and technical constraints of the systems with which you'll work
• Help drive strategy in the areas you manage, including competitive research and pushing to leverage potential opportunities
• Participate in user research and testing, ensuring usability and product consistency

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience writing for UI
• 3+ years of management experience
• Deep awareness of UX and how content and design work together
• Understanding of information architecture
• Love of iterative development
• Experience developing great software
• Experience using tools like Figma and Sketch
• Understanding of how web and mobile applications work
• A deep-seated awareness of what makes a great product experience

A portfolio of relevant work is required for consideration. It should illustrate your experience in the design process, writing different types of UX copy, and solving user problems through content.
