The Team

The Machine learning Platform (MLP) team enables rapid, scaled development of AI products at Iterable . We own a wide range of responsibilities:

• Reliability, MLOps, infrastructure and security of our Databricks environment
• Self-serve tools and frameworks for improving the full lifecycle of AI development
• Along with these (typical) ML Platform functions, we also own
• Common data engineering for AI, Analytics and BI - batch and streaming
• Scaling pipelines and other engineering components required to take AI products to GA

How you will have an impact:

• Own the Spark pipelines that are at the core of our ML platform in Databricks, continuously optimizing for scale, performance and cost
• Build and own the feature store that manages all the features behind our ML models
• Work closely with the infrastructure engineering team to improve our machine learning infrastructure
• Harden, scale and integrate new models that add intelligence into our core product
• Improve our model performance tracking system
• Iteratively improve data observability and quality for AI, Analytics and BI use cases

We are looking for people who have:

• Expertise with Apache Spark - batch and streaming
• Familiarity with Scala and Python
• A desire to be part of a values-driven Engineering team
• Passion for learning -- always improving yourself and the team around you

Bonus points:

• Experience with the Akka libraries, especially Akka streams
• Experience with Kafka
• Experience with AWS and IaC (Terraform preferred)
• Knowledge of distributed systems and modern analytics stacks

For Colorado-based employment: The minimum salary for this position is $191,100/year. The compensation package includes equity, plus a range of medical, dental, vision, financial and other benefits. Additionally, perks such as daily paid lunches and generous stipends for health & fitness and learning & development, among others, are included.
