Vetted is a product search engine that organizes the world's shopping knowledge. Our technology automates the intensive research process required to make smart purchasing decisions in today's overwhelming shopping experience. We recently raised our Series A from Insight & Index Ventures and have an ambitious vision to rewire commerce to empower consumers and direct the world's purchasing intent.

We're looking for a senior data scientist experienced in Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Understanding (NLU). This person will work with a large amount of unstructured data, explore technologies, and solve various kinds of NLP problems (NER, entity linking, sentiment analysis, classification, etc.)

Must have requirements:

A master's degree or PhD in data science-related degrees.
Strong computer science foundations.
3+ experience in solving NLP problems (NER, sentiment analysis, pattern matching, classification).
Good with Python and SQL.
Good with independent research.
Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills with great problem-solving abilities.

Nice to haves:

Experience with Named Entity Linking and deep learning.
Experience with Spark and distributed computing.
Familiar with AWS (Athena, S3, EC2, SageMaker, etc.)
Familiar with Databricks.
