If you sweat you're an athlete, and Strava's mobile apps and website connect millions of active people every day.

We are looking for an experienced analyst interested in a full time role to help develop and scale Strava's foundational analytical processes and data sets. You will collaborate with other analysts, data platform engineers, and cross-functional data consumers to develop the frameworks and data models that will help to multiplicatively scale the impact of data at Strava. You will enhance your technical skills to implement data analysis tools and systems while also developing the knowledge of Strava's athlete community and business that will ensure the relevance and effectiveness of your work. This role will report to an Analytics Manager and will work across the data team to promote Analytics best practices.

You're excited about this opportunity because you will:

  • Lead the development of analytical frameworks and tools that can scale the efficiency by which we can find meaning in our internal data
  • Collaborate with the analytics team to develop best practices for common analytical workflows and with Strava's leadership to standardize patterns of analysis for reporting, estimation, and forecasting
  • Partner with the Analytics and Data Platform teams to shape the roadmap for foundational analytical work
  • Collaborate with the rest of the data organization at Strava (Machine Learning, Data Platform, etc) to collectively improve our technological craftsmanship

You will be successful here by:

  • Thinking about scalability and building reusable data sets and self-service tools to empower your collaborators to learn along with you
  • Leading efforts to better understand the ways in which internal products and tools will drive the most impact to our internal processes
  • Not being afraid to ask questions, learn, share and iterate on ways of working, your product space, and analytics capabilities

We're excited about you because:

  • 4+ years of full-time experience in analytics, data science, or other quantitative domains.
  • You are highly proficient with SQL and have experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau)
  • You have an understanding of data pipeline concepts (e.g. ETL, scripting common analysis workflows)
  • You have experience with experimentation, including design, implementation, and methodologies (e.g. hypothesis testing, regression analysis) for analyzing and interpreting results
  • You enjoy building foundational tools and data sets that unlock the effectiveness of data users across the company
