Security Analyst

Scale's Security Team is looking for a passionate entry level Security Analyst to join our growing Security Team. You will partner closely with various internal teams across the organization to help streamline our Security Operations workflows and ensure Scale's Security Team can operate at maximum efficiency. You will be a key player in helping develop a robust Security Operations program. You will work across a number of topics including Security Operations, Incident Response & Investigations, Security Compliance, Identity and Access Control, and Policy Enforcement.

You will work closely with a world class team of high impact Security Engineers overseeing all aspects of Security at Scale. You will:

• Daily monitoring and analysis of monitoring and detection systems
• Perform initial triage, analysis, documentation and assessment of security alerts
• Maintain and update standard procedures and runbooks for security analysis
• Interface with internal teams on inbound Security alerts and requests
• Ensure timely updates and responses to tickets, alerts, and internal stakeholders
• Contribute to the creation and the maintenance of investigation and vulnerability reports
• Collaboration on reporting of metrics to Security Leadership
• Participate in incident and vulnerability response and remediation

Ideally you'd have:

• Strong verbal and written communications skills; ability to effectively communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities and how to remediate them
• Familiarity with Security Fundamentals such as monitoring, logging, and detection technologies
• Working seamlessly in a distributed team via collaboration tools
• Willingness to learn a broad set of information security skills
• Solid understanding and knowledge of information technologies including operating systems, networking, data management, communication technologies, etc.
• Excellent coordination, project management, planning, and time management skills
• Ability to learn, work, and excel in a fast-paced work environment
• Required to have or obtain a Security+, or higher level certification such as CISSP, CASP+, GCED, GCIH, GCFA, CISA, CEH, etc
• Position requires US citizenship
• Position requires location within the continental United States
