The Figma Research team is looking for a Brand and Marketing Researcher to directly support our growing Marketing organization. You will be responsible for scoping, conducting, and delivering custom research to support all parts of the marketing life cycle. You will also work with an external partner to manage and socialize our bi-annual brand sentiment tracker. As the first researcher solely dedicated to Marketing, we are looking for a researcher who can deliver clear recommendations and insights, in a compelling manner, as well as educate the team on how to incorporate and act on research.

Through your work you will impact the Marketing Team's campaign strategy and execution, represent the voice of our users and be responsible for measuring the effectiveness of key company initiatives.

This is a full-time role that can be held from one of our US hubs or remotely in the continental United States.

What you'll do at Figma:
  • Lead custom research projects from start to finish, including projects like message testing and creative evaluations to deep explorations into our brand and competitive set.
  • Oversee the day-to-day of the Figma's new brand sentiment tracker and to deliver bi-annual and ad-hoc report deliverables tracking brand and model health, marketing effectiveness, etc
  • Partner with others to generate strategy, build roadmaps, and define success and prioritize your project roadmap so you are doing the most impactful work
    • Translate research findings into actionable insights that inform the development of strategic marketing recommendations and campaign briefs
    • Collaborate closely with senior researchers to develop your analytic and storytelling capabilities and to prioritize insights that inspire change within the organization
    • Sharpen your research tool kit alongside best in class researchers
  • Advocate for the role of research in marketing
We'd love to hear from you if you have:
  • A solid quantitative foundation, with ideally 5+ years of quantitative market research and proficiency with data analysis tools such as Qualtrics, Excel, etc
  • Some experience in qualitative research, either by conducting qualitative research yourself or working with a research vendor. Focus group moderation experience is not required
  • Direct experience supporting a Marketing organization and have a strong portfolio of marketing-focused research deliverables (e.g. workshops, slides, reports) with an emphasis on great visuals and narrative
  • Ability to identify, scope, and design a research project, manage the project either independently or via research vendor, and craft a strong, story driven report.
  • Experience working with and directing research agencies/vendors to deliver results.
  • Detailed oriented, quick learner and have strong written and verbal communication skills with proficiency with one or many presentation software tools (e.g., Google Slides, Keynote)
  • An ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a SaaS organization or have experience researching niche audiences
