Full Stack Data Scientist

We are a small founding team with deep experience in gaming + consumer product and in fintech. We're supported by a select group of investors that we deeply respect and admire.

We're remote-first. We maintain core working hours of 9AM to 5PM PT, when we're all online and available at the same time. We strive to be clear in our communication and over-communicate by default.

What you'll be doing:

As a Full Stack Data Scientist and our first Data team hire at Sanlo, you will have the opportunity to work across the entire data architecture. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring data engineer or scientist who is a jack of all trades who would excel at designing and building a modern data architecture in the fintech and gaming space.

• You will work closely with engineers, designers, and product managers to design and maintain multiple technologies, including our data pipeline, data analysis/collection, and data models.
• Collaborate with our engineering, product and design teams along each step of the product development process from ideation, implementation, testing, release and monitoring.
• Work on systems that extract insights from game companies' financial data, analyze financial metrics, forecast financial state, determine creditworthiness and predict financial trends.
• Perform data analysis and present insights to inform product direction.

We're looking for someone with:

• Experience of shipping code to production
• Experience working across the entire data stack: data infrastructure, data pipelines, data analysis, data collection, building and training data models
• Excitement about building a modern data architecture
• High level of comfort exploring data, sharing insights and using data to make decisions
• Sharp product intuition

Bonus Points:

• You've worked in fintech (lending, risk, payments)
• You're comfortable in a Python data science stack (Pandas, Jupyter Notebooks)
• You're comfortable with Google Cloud Platform tooling: Big Query, Cloud Storage, Dataflow.
