About the Role:

As an experienced Dispute analyst, you will be responsible for aiding the customers file their disputes, gathering as much information to see if we are able to dispute the transactions. You will make suggestions to improve policies and how to mitigate risk, spotting customers that are abusing the dispute process. You should have extensive experience in the dispute end-to-end lifecycle. You will work closely with colleagues partnering on fraud cases, sharing best practices and risk trends, and providing input on risk mitigation strategies.

What You'll Do:

  • Resolve complex card holder inquiries
  • Research card disputes and build dispute cases to recover funds for customers
  • Validate appropriate data from internal and third party systems and ensure appropriate course of action is being pursued
  • Ensure accurate and appropriate responses to disputes
  • Monitor disputed transactions for possible fraudulent activity
  • Provide excellent customers service and resolve product and service problems
  • Perform daily inventory management, prevent policy violations, customer abuse and resolve merchant disputes in order to mitigate loss.

What We're Looking For:

  • 2 + years of related experience: disputes, investigations or equivalent experience. Both fraud and dispute knowledge is a plus.
  • Extensive operational background, knowledge of bank policies, regulations and procedures.
  • Possess strong written, verbal, and presentation skills to communicate effectively across a variety of audiences.
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems, applications, and utilize research tools to find information needed to make an accurate decision on dispute claims
  • Able to effectively work independently with minimal supervision. In a fast paced production environment required.
  • Strong customer service background interacting with customers via phone is required
