Wonolo is looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to help build and automate large-scale, high-performance data storage and processing systems. Using a rich toolset including DBT and SQL, you'll use your skills to deliver rich data and analytics experiences. As a steward of all things data at Wonolo, you'll own data definitions and cleanliness across the company. Working alongside a team of engineers, analytics professionals and data scientists, your contribution will be felt across the company as you create easily accessible, standardized experiences that will deliver key business insights.

This opportunity is open to students located anywhere in Canada and who are interested in 4 month co-ops, with a start date of September 2022.

What you'll do:

    • Own the data transformations and data definitions produced by our ETL pipeline, ensuring they are standardized, clean, accessible and understandable to a wide audience
    • Apply software engineering best practices and rigour to your data sets
    • Maintain and optimize our data pipelines, ensuring they remain useful and relevant as we scale
    • Contribute to analytics thought leadership, ensuring our data stack and processes are up to date with best practices and trends

Who you are:

    • You have strong experience working with DBT, SQL, and Python
    • You are experienced with data definition, cleaning, and delivery in a productized environment
    • You can maintain and optimize monitoring and iteration of reporting and analytics pipelines
    • You have strong communication skills that allow you to explain complex challenges to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
    • You demonstrate a substantial commitment to advancing representation and inclusion
