About the role

Persona is looking for a Data Analyst to join the Customer Success team. If you have a knack for drawing insights from data, have experience in database infrastructure that supports end-user reporting, and get excited about working cross-functionally to make an impact on internal and external stakeholder then this could be a great fit!

You will help our Customer Success team become more data/insights-driven through scalable data infrastructure and robust end-user reports. This role will have a direct impact on the Sales and Post-Sales teams. Internally, you will find opportunities to improve operational efficiency (database infrastructure, self-service data environment) and help us scale our methodology to deliver customer happiness.

In your day-to-day, you will run analyses and summarize results for internal and external stakeholders, develop repeatable processes and automation, and create and own database infrastructure that drives insight delivery. Apart from interacting with our Customer Success stakeholders, you will work cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Product Analytics. This role is crucial in helping shape the future of Persona's data-driven customer approach.

What you'll achieve

  • Work with team lead and partner with internal teams to understand their data needs. You will then build out/expand upon database infrastructure required to meet these needs as well as deliver analysis to drive customer value.
  • Build out robust database infrastructure to showcase product value to end users at scale, enabling robust end-user reporting experience that enables a self-service reporting environment. You will own creation and maintenance of documentation to ensure company can leverage.
  • Build out reporting infrastructure to provide insights, recommendations, and other data support to customer success and sales teams to enable retention and help drive customer and revenue growth. You will own creation and maintenance of documentation to ensure company can leverage.
  • Communicate analysis, insights, and business decisions to internal stakeholders
  • Provide comprehensive analytics support to partner teams
  • Develop tools to empower scalable data access and create a self-service data environment across the customer-facing organization in order to allow for strategic use of your time and expertise
  • Deliver insights and analytics to help business leaders answer critical questions related to the customer lifecycle, customer experience, adoption, expansion, usage and health

What you'll bring to Persona

  • 3+ years of analytical experience in consulting, data analytics, data science, or machine learning and predictive analytics
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, logical thinking, and familiarity with big data and numbers.
  • Knowledge of database infrastructure and how this relates to end-user reporting
  • Passion for solving problems through data analytics and insights.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on data quality and integrity
  • Proficiency in two or more of SQL, Python, R, and/or Excel with hands-on exposure to creating complex queries across multiple database schemas
  • Experience creating visualizations based on data using BI tools (e.g. Mode, Tableau, Looker, Periscope, or similar)
  • Fluency with statistics techniques to structure analyses and provide insights (e.g. statistical tests, AB testing)
  • Curiosity and thirst for knowledge
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Bonus points

  • Background in Fraud Detection and/or Identity Verification
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills - pivot tables, macros, PowerPivots, advanced functions
  • Proficient in one or more of the following Python packages - Pandas/Jupyter/SCIKIT
  • Strong desire to understand and stay ahead of industry trends and new ways of leveraging data to show value to customers.
