Business Development Analyst

At GOAT Group, the Business Development team is central to the strategic growth of our company. Composed of individual teams that handle Strategy, New Business Initiatives, Partnerships and Account Management, the department leads a global supply-focused initiative that works with brand partners, retailers and power sellers to secure new inventory and widen exposure for GOAT Group. As our company continues to expand both at home and abroad, you will play an integral part in this exciting next chapter.

GOAT is seeking a passionate and motivated Business Development Analyst to support the continued growth strategy. The role requires strong SQL knowledge, critical thinking, collaboration, project prioritization, and multi-tasking. The successful candidate will possess demonstrated ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders across multiple internal GOAT Group teams.

In this role you will:

• Create and maintain analytics dashboards and reports that the Business Development team members use to track and measure the performance of the general business and specific initiatives
• Design and execute analyses, including data mining and visualizations, by utilizing available analysis tools, interpret the results and develop recommendations and actionable steps based on learnings
• Assist in analyzing strategic initiatives, sourcing new supply channels and partnerships for various business verticals while maintaining current supplier relationships
• Create a rich set of insights about our suppliers and supply markets, user, using a range of quantitative and qualitative approaches, in partnership with our analytics, data science, and insights teams
• Learn and understand a range of GOAT Group's data resources and know when to utilize each
• Develop and inform key metrics and indicators by which the Business Development team will assess supplier and category performance
• Clearly communicate (written and verbal) succinct summaries and narratives of data and findings as well as data visualizations

We are looking for:

• 2+ years of work experience in a challenging analytical role involving data analysis
• 1+ years working with stakeholders and decision makers in other departments, such as business development, growth marketing, consumer insights, finance or corporate strategy
• Advanced expertise in SQL, working with relational databases, query authoring (SQL) as well as working familiarity with a variety of databases
• Advanced proficiency in Excel (including Pivot Tables and array functions) and experience working with data visualization tools
• Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets
• Exceptional methodical skills; ability to identify problems, research issues, and provide options for resolution to the team
• Passion for sneakers & apparel is a plus, but not mandatory
