About You:

Are self-motivated and persistent to seek answers in a fast-paced startup environment

Have a bias for action and are comfortable managing internal and external relationships to achieve the same

Have excellent written and oral communication skills, including understanding stakeholder needs and communicating credibly and effectively to your audience

Are detail-oriented and have strong mathematical foundations

Duties and Responsibilities:

Facilitate achievement of underwriting and persistency pod quarterly business plans

Represent Insurance team in intra-day execution in APAC time zones

Work with US actuaries and underwriters to understand project needs and long term goals

Ensure actuarial and underwriting project considerations and objectives are understood

Identify project level target measures of success and data required to support measurement

Perform initial analysis as needed ahead of projects to estimate potential impact

Validate impact of product changes in collaboration with Analytics, Product and Engineering

Review Product Management and Engineering project documentation to ensure alignment with pod objectives

Participate in user acceptance testing as needed

Support other research for the Insurance department as needed

Skills & Background:

BS/BA in Mathematics, Statistics, or similar quantitative field

Expertise in SQL and data visualization tools

Associate level or higher designation from the Institute of Actuaries or comparable designation

Understanding of life insurance products, underwriting and pricing

Demonstrated research capabilities coupled with effective documentation

Excellent written and oral communication and data visualization skills, including understanding stakeholder needs and communicating effectively to your audience
