Job Summary

In the last year we have doubled the number of active customers ordering each month, and in the coming year we will exceed that level of growth. To ensure that we continue to provide our customers with the best possible experience, we're looking for a Director of Retention to focus completely on the subscriber experience.

The Director will be responsible for all things churn and retention, one of the most important metrics to building a lasting subscription business. It's an opportunity to be a mini-GM; this person will be required to think holistically about our entire subscription business. We're looking for an athlete - someone who can jump from high level strategy to action; figuring out the initiatives to keep our business healthy. This is a very cross-functional role with management opportunities.

Our headquarters is located in Redwood City, CA - we are open to both on-site and remote candidates.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deeply understand retention and churn KPIs, running analytics and deep dives as necessary
  • Work deeply with our product team to deploy retention-specific initiatives and strategies
  • Build and drive the subscription and retention roadmap
  • Track and manage the E2E customer journey for subscribers including their experience signing up for the subscription, managing their products, and interacting with customer service

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years experience, with 2-3 years of consumer startup experience
  • MBA or 2+ years at a top-tier consulting firm preferred
  • Comfort with large datasets and analysis
  • Passion for deeply understanding the customer journey
