Kaizen, a Tetra Tech Company, is hiring motivated mid-career professionals who are looking to create social impact in a rewarding work environment and drive the next stage of our organization's growth. Role and responsibilities: Support Kaizen in the pursuit, design, and technical management of international development projects around the globe. The two primary and equally important functions of this position include the following:

Business Development

  • Develop and manage relationships with potential partners (both potential prime and subcontractors), key personnel, and consultants - both U.S.-based and international
  • Identify through both formal (e.g., USAID Forecast) and informal (e.g., professional networks) channels - promising opportunities for Kaizen to pursue
  • Collaborate with Business Development colleagues to maintain a pipeline of opportunities which Kaizen is pursuing
  • Lead capture efforts to position and prepare Kaizen for upcoming proposals
  • Contribute to technical design sessions for Kaizen proposals
  • Write technical approaches for prime proposals, and provide technical inputs for subcontractor proposals
  • Support efforts to strengthen Kaizen's brand and brand recognition with key partners and clients globally, such as representing Kaizen at industry-related activities
  • Participate in other aspects of the capture and proposal development process, as needed (e.g., proposal management, recruiting, subcontractor identification and selection)?

Technical Support and Oversight

  • Provide technical guidance and support to a portfolio of projects, working with Chiefs of Party/Team Leaders, Project Managers, and others to ensure excellent delivery and full client satisfaction
  • Providing technical oversight and quality control on project deliverables, workplans, activities, strategic pivots, staffing decisions, and other client decisions
  • Support activities through dissemination of tools, materials, papers, etc.
  • Ensure activities are implemented aligned with company standards and best practices
  • Write and edit technical reports and documents for submission
  • Develop strategies and tools for the design and implementation of specific technical components
  • Contribute to Kaizen's thought leadership efforts in designated technical area

Required:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organization, Public Health, Peace & Stabilization, International Development, Economics, or related field
  • Minimum of six years of experience as a specialist delivering services in organizational development, global health, peace and stabilization, or related fields
  • Minimum of three years of experience working directly on USAID-funded initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability applying organizational development principles and approaches with different types of organizations in multiple sectors
  • Strong technical design and writing skills, including demonstrated success writing technical approaches to USG-funded contracts
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English language

Desired:

  • Masters degree or higher Business Administration, Organization, Public Health, Peace & Stabilization, International Development, Economics, or related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency collaborating with and leading diverse, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Management consulting experience
  • Experience living and working in emerging markets
  • Fluency in one or more languages other than English

Work Location & Travel: This position will be fully remote. The Kaizen Company's corporate headquarters office is in Arlington, VA where occasional, optional in-person meetings and events will take place. International travel may be required of the selected candidate. All applicants must be based in and able to legally work from the U.S.
