This role sits within what we call the "Funnel" team. They are the face of Funding Circle and work passionately to make sure small businesses have an incredible experience in getting the funding they need.

What will you be doing?

We are seeking a top-performing, motivated professional with a track record of impact to join our US Commercial team and take ownership of, and drive results in, our repeat customer segment. Your contribution will ensure we continue to grow rapidly, profitably, and at scale.

You will report directly to the US Commercial Director and will be accountable for the commercial performance, measured through the P&L, of our Repeat Customer business - SMBs who have previously borrowed with Funding Circle. This encapsulates our lifecycle engagement with customers as we nurture our relationship with each SMB to maximize the value we create for them and for Funding Circle over time. You will be responsible for both defining and delivering our strategy for this critical segment of our business, working closely with senior stakeholders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Risk, Analytics and other teams.

  • Define our Repeat Customer commercial growth strategy, including our customer lifecycle engagement strategy, recurring revenue streams, and share of wallet targeting
  • Work with the US Managing Director and wider US Leadership Team to secure buy-in for the strategy, agree on a roadmap of specific initiatives and ambitious P&L goals
  • Oversee a programme of work corresponding to the strategy to deliver this impact
  • Lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Marketing, Product, Risk, Analytics and others to execute initiatives
  • Review monthly and quarterly performance, forecasting and target setting
  • Contribute to our wider commercial strategy beyond Existing Customers
  • When required, deputize for the US Commercial Director

Are you?

  • 4/5+ years of work experience with a track record of delivering results in a commercial environment
  • Experience at a top-tier consulting firm (Consultant/Manager) and/or experience in a corporate strategy or commercial / BizOps team of a major fintech or financial service organization
  • A 'nose for value' and the ability to frame and structure complex problems, then quickly prioritize to focus on the high potential opportunities.
  • Expert problem solving skills, analytical rigor and comfort with using data to prove a hypothesis
  • The ability to work collaboratively to get things done within a matrix structure, without direct reporting lines
  • A sense of ownership - you take delivery personally, even in a dynamic environment with high ambiguity
  • The ability to present confidently to senior stakeholders.
