As a Procurement Manager at Vanta, you will lead the procurement function by working as a trusted partner to our internal clients to increase spend under management, standardizing and improving processes, and implementing strategic sourcing strategies that deliver tangible value to the business.

The mission is to work cross-functionally with various org leaders to identify, negotiate and procure tools and solutions to support our growth. This person will leverage their internal and external network to challenge the norm and find us the best long-term partners.

What you'll do as the first Procurement Manager at Vanta:

Own procurement systems strategy and support implementations as needed in partnership with our Chief Financial Officer
Negotiate, source, and assist business partners with vendor engagements. Manage contracts and license agreements to ensure that obligations are met and the process for tracking renewals or replacement of existing agreements is managed and scalable
Partner with internal stakeholders to meet their purchasing needs while prioritizing ROI, cost efficiency, and value
Implement and improve Procurement policies and operating procedures for the team members
Define and own from concept to maturity the Request for Proposal (RFP) process and supplier scorecards to use in their vendor assessments
Tap into a deep base of historical prices and network to drive competitive pricing while balancing driving long, positive and mutually beneficial relationships with our vendors

How to be successful in this role:

Proactive, deeply curious personality
Have 5-10 years of experience in similar roles demonstrating increasing levels of responsibility
Possess strong understanding of third party risk processes, full cycle vendor management, source to pay processes, systems and controls
Demonstrated experience in delivering highly effective, operationally excellent, scalable programs and processes

Pay Range: $146,000 - $171,000; If you are offered the position, your offer amount will be based on your experience.

We started Vanta in 2016 as Equifax had lost every American's social security number, Home Depot had leaked its customers' credit card numbers to hackers, and Facebook admitted that it irresponsibly sent user data to third parties who tried to influence the US election.
