What's the opportunity?

Cargo.one is the digital platform for freight forwarders to search, compare and book air freight capacity across airlines. We are proud to have a product our customers love to use, which has allowed us to win over 10,000 freight forwarders as customers in our first three years in the market.

After launching our product in Europe and North America and raising a Series B round with Bessemer and Index Ventures, cargo.one is expanding to Asia. Air cargo is a global market and we can only be successful if we are everywhere.

Orchestrating the connection between our demand needs (the freight forwarder) and our supply offering (the airline) is crucial to cargo.one's success in changing our industry. As a Partner Enablement Specialist (PES), you will have the chance to drive the success of our airline partners such as All Nippon Airways, Singapore Airlines, Lufthansa and many more, and provide on-ground support in their digital transformation process with cargo.one.

You can work from (almost) anywhere in Asia. From Tokyo to Singapore, you can decide where you'd like to be based from this growing list of countries. We are a remote company, but regularly meet in person, too.

What you'll be doing:

  • Own the relationship with local airline stakeholders in Asia (airline sales teams and general sales agents).
  • Onboard, train, and guide them through their digital transformation journey with cargo.one.
  • Assist the launch of new airlines in our Asian markets by ensuring high offer quality and that we have the right customer support protocols.
  • Constantly monitor the quality of supply and operational performance of our partner airlines in Asia and search for improvement areas for them to successfully sell digitally on cargo.one.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders such as product and sales to find creative and scalable solutions to improve the freight forwarder experience using cargo.one.
  • Support the cargo.one customer service team by escalating customer cases to our airline stakeholders when necessary.

What you'll need:

  • You have 10+ years of working experience in a customer-facing role (customer success or business development).
  • You are passionate about logistics and ideally have experience working in the aviation industry.
  • You have gained experience working or studying in an international environment, either abroad or in your country.
  • You possess the ability to be creative, roll up your sleeves, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
  • You have a service mindset and experience building strong, long-term value-driven relationships with various stakeholders.
  • You are a native speaker of Japanese, Mandarin or Korean, and possess excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • You have professional proficiency in English and are able to effectively communicate with the global cargo.one team. Proficiency in other languages is a plus.
