As Quality team our mission is to EMPOWER our product and engineering teams' to own quality and to ship the best in class customer experience at scale with velocity! We are looking for an experienced engineering manger to enable and encourage engineers and producrs to design and implement quality in an efficient way.

About Your Role

As an Engineering Manager for the squad quality assistance, your #1 mission is to drive, empower your team and give each team member the resources they need to implement a continuous approach of quality assessment and to assist teams in de-risking the business value creation. Through coaching and mentoring you will be helping engineers in your team to support engineering and product teams to increase quality metrics.

The quality advisor squad missions are to:

• Automate test pyramid analysis and coverage visibility through a central dashboard
• Analyze trends and propose strategic improvements to Engineering Leaders
• Assist teams in de-risking the business value creation by implementing bug prevention strategies

You will be reporting to the tribe manager on the on the following responsibilities :

• Lead a small group (4-7 people) of engineers
• Supervise and contribute on day-to-day technical tasks
• Ensure they have the right resources, tools and skills to succeed in their role
• Motivate and empower the team to enhance engagement and performance
• Define team and individual goals in line with Ankorstore's objectives, plan and monitor their achievements and ensure the performance of the team, help individual career progressions
• Anticipate, organise and monitor the activities of the team, allocate the right resources for the right objectives
• In collaboration with the People Team and your Manager, anticipate and plan your team evolution, participate to the definition of the needs and requirements, and actively contribute to the hiring process
• Ensure a strong onboarding for new joiners and ongoing training and shadowing
• Ensure your team is providing the good level of support to increase quality metrics
• Act as a role model, share best practices and encourage peers and team members to strive
• Use an individualised approach to identify development potential, performance challenges and put in place action plans to help the team grow professionally and personally
• Provide continuous and constructive feedback
• Partner closely with your engineering and Product counterparts to shape the vision for your team and create the both long and short term technology roadmap for your team, align this with the overall company strategy as well as with the priorities from business

Job requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience on a agile software development team, preferably in a lead or senior role for at least 2+ years
• Master team development with the required recruitments and the adaptation of internal processes to accompany the expansion
• Experienced in building a solid quality culture, preferably with a context of quality assistance strategy
• Excellent knowledge of testing practices, agility with an analytical capacity
• Curiosity and a synthetic mind with an ability to solve complex problems in simple and autonomous way
• Very good communication skills with the ability to adapt your approach and communication style to fit varying contexts and situational needs
• Strong leadership, negotiation and influence skills
• Solution drivern, process driven and structured
• Ability to manage multiple relationships at a time and work in a high pace environment
