As Director of Care Advocacy at Maven, your core responsibilities include:

  • Ensure Care Advocates and Care Advocate Managers have the tools and opportunities to develop and grow professionally ?" facilitate and provide mentorship, training, and communicate goals
  • Implement and drive performance to metrics to measure and motivate productivity and engagement across Care Advocacy
  • Support Care Advocate managers in coaching their direct reports to meet individual and team performance targets
  • Actively attract, hire, train, and retain great and diverse talent
  • Organize and foster an environment that delivers high quality, impactful member experiences with compliance and quality
  • Contribute to the design of scalable and secure systems for Maven's users, both medical professionals and patients
  • Work to optimize Maven's virtual care model in order to drive patient outcomes and to achieve strong clinical ROI for all user experiences through care plan oversight.
  • Foster curiosity and empathy among direct reports, leading by example
  • Collaborate closely with other Care Team senior leaders to design and execute a cohesive, prioritized roadmap
  • Effectively communicate plans, roadblocks, and updates to other functional leadership across Maven
  • This role will own elements of implementation and evaluation of strategies to guide our frontline care teams through rapid member growth, payer integration, and expanding care offerings
  • Thoughtfully design and execute change management strategies for process and organizational changes for a rapidly scaling team

We're looking for someone to bring core capabilities to our team:

  • Clinical practice background as an LCSW, RN, or NP preferred
  • 6-8+ years in experience in leading, managing, coaching clinical and non-clinical teams, with experience as a manager of managers
  • Management experience within digital clinical care, navigation or coaching programs
  • Experience working within or as partners to health plans
  • Demonstrated cross functional expertise to collaborate with cross functional teams in a focused technology organization
  • Preferred experience working with fertility and/or Medicaid populations

Must haves (experience):

  • Oversight of a coaching function within a digital health setting
    • Experience coaching managers of frontline staff with longitudinal focus
  • Worked within teams of 100 plus with POV on org structures that support staff well at this size.
  • Manager of managers: Experience managing through levels (managers, team leads, frontline) - at least 2 years. Can provide specific examples of developing and guiding folks on diverse professional development pathways at the manager level.
  • Care management/coaching leadership 3-5 years in a virtual/outpatient setting (inpatient doesn't count unless it's a transition of care program). Can provide specific examples of coaching towards performance metric improvement and coaching towards an exit.
  • Can provide specific examples of successful cross-functional initiatives and can speak to strategies used to remove roadblocks.

  • Strong communication skills
  • Comfort delivering 360 feedback in a clear and thoughtful manner - talent assessment and performance management
  • Collaborative problem solving and decision making
  • Flexibility

Nice to haves:

  • Clinical licensure, NP or RN; LCSW
  • Experience working with Medicaid populations
  • Experience working in the fertility benefits space
  • Member of an underrepresented demographic group
