Compensation Analyst

The Compensation Analyst will be a key member of the Total Rewards team, who will lead our global compensation analysis programs and projects, which are core to our employee value proposition and enable us to attract and retain our talented team. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented professional with an understanding of compensation principles and a desire to build compensation programs and practices. This position requires an ability to think quickly about problems as well as a knack for tactical execution. This role will evolve Discord's offering of compensation programs that effectively support a diverse, rapidly-growing employee base and recruit during a period of rapid growth.

What You'll Be Doing

• Drive the analytics that power our compensation programs, from on-cycle programs such as annual review
• A familiarity with different pay elements (base pay, equity) and how they fit together as total compensation.
• Run our market competitiveness program, working with our survey vendors (Radford, etc.) to report and analyze the market data that drives our compensation competitiveness
• Serve as a subject matter expert on compensation data and trends to help leaders make more informed decisions about people
• Oversee the analysis of policies and procedures to ensure global compliance and the achievement of equitable and competitive compensation.
• Regularly benchmark company programs and monitor external trends in order to proactively adjust company plans and programs to ensure market competitiveness.
• Partner with the Director of Total Rewards, the Chief People Officer, and stakeholders such as People Operations.
• Build spreadsheet-based tools in Excel and/or Google Sheets.
• Assist with Benefits program administration on an as-needed basis.

You Will Thrive In This Role If

• 2+ years of experience in compensation planning and administration in a Technology environment.
• Experience working in a quickly-moving startup environment
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Strong skills in Excel and/or Google Sheets, with experience in developing calculators and other spreadsheet-based tools.
• Demonstrated experience in performing analysis of programs and proposals.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to use data to support recommendations and decisions.
• Experience benchmarking programs vs. the Tech market and using the information in program design and updates.
• Ability to manage effectively with ambiguity, manage multiple projects through completion on time and on budget and to prioritize in a rapidly changing environment.
