Software Developer (backend)

We are an experienced team of enterprise software professionals and top management consultants who have worked at SAP, Bain and McKinsey. We have based our architecture on the latest technologies (incl. Django project, vue.js, Kafka, MongoDB) and provide a great learning environment for developers within an agile software development team. We focus on consumer-grade user experiences, intelligent assistance for our customers and users. Therefore, we leverage modern development platforms, cloud-based integration technologies and big data enabling our AI use cases.

We are looking for an experienced software developer with backend (ideally from the enterprise software space) and DevOps experience that complements our skills and will help us drive the development of our core product from backend side.

Preferrably, you are located in Munich, Karlsruhe, Nuremberg or Bamberg, but we can also work out a model where you work remotely. However, we meet every 3-4 weeks for 4-5 days either in Karlsruhe or Munich, where you should be able to attend in person (travel expenses are covered).

Tasks

• Working in an experienced and highly motivated team to build up innovative AI-based software solutions for the integrated management of software / digital businesses
• Developing end-to-end solutions from concept-development with internal or client stakeholders to MVP/final implementation
• Working closely with the Founders and Software Developers to translate business requirements into functional specifications and actual software and ensure fit of the solution with client/ValueWorks business needs
• Bringing in your entrepreneurial mindset and sharing your own ideas for innovative software solutions

Requirements

• Excellent university degree (Bachelor/Master) in an IT-related field of study, preferably computer science or information systems with focus on SW development
• 2-5 years software development experience
• Proficiency in programming and data management languages such as Python (Django), SQL databases (PostgreSQL), NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis)
• Exceptional comprehension of data structures and the ability to develop a database and / or data warehouse / data lake integrating with most common transactional systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft
• Experience in DevOps, ideally in Microsoft Azure-based cloud environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills paired with an innovative mindset
• Self-starter attitude, taking ownership and driving forward the topics to completion and customer success
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and to interact efficiently with others
• Full proficiency in German or English
