Give2Asia is seeking a talented business development professional to lead our efforts partnering with families and individual donors and to support our outreach to corporate donors. This person will join our international team headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, helping them to engage in Give2Asias services to further their philanthropic and social investment goals.
ABOUT THE POSITION
Reporting to the CFO, the Senior Accountant is responsible for general ledger management and overseeing routine accounting operations for the organization and the entities for which it provides accounting services.
Responsibilities include -
GL reconciliations, journal entries, invoicing, accounts payable and receivable, and month-end close. Additional responsibilities include monitoring program budgets and organization cash flow, preparing financial statements, and assisting with the annual agency audit and various program audits.
Support the CFO with other duties and special projects.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Posting and maintenance of general ledger accounts, payroll transactions, accounts payable and general ledger adjustments
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures relating to financial management, budget and accounting
Responsible for all accounting functions up to and including preparation of financial statements
Manage contract billings, allocations, and contract indirect cost allocations, as well as analysis on contract billings and other expenses
Ensure an accurate and timely monthly and year-end close along with timely reporting of all monthly financial information
Support the CFO
Manage the daily activities of the accounting department
Meet financial accounting objectives and perform other duties as assigned
Support Program staff in their grant-making process.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance/Business Administration
Minimum of four years of experience in broad accounting, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
Supervisory experience, a plus
Nonprofit experience preferred
Understanding of fund accounting
Proven knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP), practices, standards, laws and regulations
Proficiency in MS Office Suite and accounting software, with advanced working knowledge of Excel
Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving and results
Good verbal and written communication skill

This is a full-time position based in the US.
Give2Asia is headquartered in Oakland, CA.
Applicants from other US locations are welcome.
We are currently working from home full-time to keep staff safe during the pandemic.
Salary range: $65,000$75,000
